It is with deep sorrow and great relief that our dear father, Ernest “John” Beaman passed onto something better after a brave and fierce battle with pancreatic cancer. In the end, we lost our beautiful father, but we are happy to announce that the cancer that attacked him did not survive the attempt.
E.J. Beaman was born in New York, graduated from BYU, served a mission in Scotland, and honorably served our country as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. He had a passion for flying, family, faith, and firing guns!
Until they meet again, our father will be remembered by the love of his life and his wife of 38 years, Nancy Beaman, as well as his children, Allison Pons, Kristen Westerhold, Daniel and David Beaman, his sisters, Nellie Beaman, and Margaret Beaman Armstrong, and his brothers, Alden, and John Beaman. He has six grandchildren who love him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Alden Beaman. As a testament to his fine character, his in-laws were also big fans of his: he will live on through the love of Mike Pons, Justin Westerhold, Kattyane Mendes Beaman and Hannah Brockman Beaman. He had gentle laugh and an intimidating command of combat arms. He is a hero, a darling, and a legend to us all.
